Understanding Different Requirements of Your Commercial Restoration Project

At Tallahassee Mold Pros, we have the experience, know-how and staff to handle your commercial requirements.  We are set up to accommodate the special needs of business owners and property managers like:

1. Property Size.

Commercial spaces can be quite large with high ceilings or maybe even small confined spaces that house special equipment.  We’ll work with you to enclose and remediate the necessary space with minimal disruption to your business operations.

2. Construction Materials.

We understand the different construction materials used in commercial spaces like metal studs and double drywall.  We’re prepared to handle the higher ceilings, paneled ceilings and larger spaces in your office buildings, warehouses, factories and rental properties.

3. Hours of Operation.

It might be challenging for you to completely shut-down your business in order the handle your mold contamination so we are prepared to work around your business needs.

4. Staff.

Understanding that employees and visitors may be present, we take all necessary precautions to keep them safe while we remove the hazardous debris.  We build a barrier around the work area and we ensure that the area has negative air pressure.  This keeps the dangerous spores enclosed until they can be removed, protects your workers and visitors, and minimizes the chance of cross-contamination to unaffected areas.

5. Commercial Equipment.

The water intrusion that started the growth could have been a slow leak in the roof or pipes but often times it is the result of a piece of commercial equipment that has malfunctioned or no longer drains properly.  If needed, we’ll help you determine the source of the problem.

6. Customers.

Our team is well-trained and licensed by the State of Florida.  They are also professional and discreet.  We understand that this type of situation can be a public relations challenge and our team is quiet and respectful in your workspace.

These are just a few of the special considerations that we take into account when you call us to remove mold from your commercial property. Every job in unique and we are flexible and prepared to meet your unique requirements.  We deliver a quick response, professional service and fast results.

How to Prevent Mold Growth in Your Commercial Property

1. Repair your Roof.
Make sure that the roof is always in good condition.  A leaky roof can cause widespread damage throughout the entire house and ceiling.  If you suspect any roof or shingle damage, make sure to have that inspected and  repaired right away by a licensed roofing contractor.

2. Handle the Humidity.
Keep the thermostat set properly on your air conditioner if you will be away from the office for a few days.  Don’t turn off the unit in an effort to save a few dollars.   It can end up costing you more in the long run if you return to a space covered in mold.  Invest in a humidifier for really humid spaces and always use ventilation in high moisture areas.

3. Drain Pans in the Wet Rooms
In case of a leaking washer, you’ll want to have a protective washing machine pan to protect your floors.  It will protect the floor in the laundry room and other flooring in nearby rooms and you should be able to spot a problem before it gets too severe.  The same goes for ice machines, sinks, condensers and wash basins.

4. Properly Maintain the A/C
Florida is known for the heat and humidity maintaining the a/c unit will help you be more comfortable when you’re working.  It’ll also protect your spaces from mold when you’re away and it can keep your monthly cooling bill as low as possible.
