Our 10 Step Black Mold Clean Up Procedure
We follow a 10 step process that follows the guidelines by the IICRC.
We focus on making sure that we know what kind of mold you have in your home or business. There is a chance that you are dealing with something that could be unhealthy for your family and sometimes it is just a nuisance mold that needs to be cleaned. We also do a thorough inspection to find all mold. There may be mold behind walls or mold in the attic or crawlspace or under the carpet.
If we find that we are dealing with a type of dangerous mold, and there is a chance that the mold could spread throughout your home or condo. If that is the case, we will create a secure boundary to do the work. This containment barrier prevents the microbes from spreading into other parts of the house.
We then make sure to remove the construction materials that have been contaminated and a little extra to establish a safe boundary in the drywall or flooring. We treat the areas that are prescribed in the protocol and we clean the air of airborne spores with our air scrubbers.
Once the remediation in your house or condominium is done, if it is necessary, we conduct post-remediation testing and air quality testing to make sure that we have successfully addressed the issues and restored the home to regular conditions.
